What is a resting electrocardiogram?
The principle of static electrocardiogram examination is to collect the electric current generated by the contraction and expansion of the heart from electrodes installed on the chest and hands and feet, and record it on a paper tape.
During a heart examination, medical staff will attach ten metal conductors to the patient, four on the extremities and six on the chest. Based on the information received by each conductor, electronic instruments use different combinations of information to create twelve current patterns.
